Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his roles on the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. In his first years of college Meloni had a keen interest in the field of acting. After that, he attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he worked in TV and film and on stage, his appearances on the small screen are what brought him much fame. He can play two characters, one from the perspective of the police as well as the other. That's what has made him so popular. When he first appeared on television, for his debut project, he played the role of a serial killer. Later he portrayed the role of an NYPD investigator. Numerous times, he was recognized for his work in the highly coveted Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. His piercing blue eyes his eyes are thought to be his most attractive aspect of his appearance. These have been used to portray rough characters and make them more appealing. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
