Christopher Peter Meloni has been an acclaimed American actor for a number of years. He is most known for the roles he played in "Law and Order Special Victims Unit". From his early college days, Meloni was interested in acting. After that, he attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. While he was active on TV and film, his roles on the small screen were what earned him recognition. The actor has the ability to play characters from both the good and bad sides in the law enforcement system. He is able capture the audiences attention easily. The first show he worked on was a television show, but he later played an officer for the NYPD. In recognition of his performance on the small screen, he's been up for nomination numerous times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. The most appealing feature of his face is thought to be his piercing blue eyes. They are believed to be a trademark and help in portraying the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. The year 2006 was the last time he was included in the People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
